My name is Akiko Akita, and I am a multifaceted artist based in New York City and Los Angeles. I am  Kama’aina from Hawai’i, trans masculine non-binary (they/them and open to playing all genders), and half Japanese and Half Irish/Scottish. I studied acting and graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA NYC). I have been performing since age 5, and am deeply passionate about where i'm from (Oahu, Hawai’i). I also provide consulting services on/about Transgender and Gender non-conforming life, and disability. As well as dramaturgy about Hawai’i. 

Outside of performing, you could expect to find me in the Kalo fields farming and landscaping, reading plays (Currently on a streak of reading of In-Yer-Face theatre), and spending nights re-binding my favorite books into hardcovers.
